Fund Accountant recruitment
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Fund Accountant to strengthen the team at an award winning European provider of Fund Services to the Private Equity Industry. Our client, based in Central London, is a well-established and continually growing business with over $40 billion assets under management, over 250 funds and 6000 global investors.
The role is client based and will offer excellent exposure to the Investment Management and Private Equity space, working alongside the Client Director in a senior level position and oversee the training and development of new staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Produce management, interim and audited accounts
- Control and monitor the bookkeeping process and take ownership of the ledgers
- Prepare carried interest and other calculations in accordance with the fund documentation
- Calculate and monitor capital adequacy of licensed entities in accordance with regulations
- Understand and interpret the Fund's documentation, FSA GFSC regulations
- Interpret and understand IFRS, UK GAAP or relevant GAAP to the fund / company
- Assist with all aspects of accounting for clients including ad hoc queries
- Promote excellent on-going relationships with clients.
- Assist with the training, coaching and development of staff.
- Motivate and empower trainee accountants by building their capabilities.
- Ensure the company's processes and controls are followed and best practice followed
Candidate Requirements:
- ACCA, CIMA or ACA Qualified Accountant or Finalist Level
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in Fund Accounting
- Experience gained within a financial institution - exposure to Private Equity an advantage
- Knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP
