Fund Accountant Roles
We are currently working with two different clients into fund accounting roles. Both very different in terms of size and exposure, allowing candidates applying to manage their preference for their next move.
Private Equity Fund Administration, Senior Fund Accountant
A private equity fund administrator is currently seeking to recruit a senior fund accountant to join their growing finance function. As they look to further develop and grow they require a fund accountant to manage one of their main clients.
Working with their client director, the role allows the chosen candidates to support him/her on a regular basis as well as managing their client accounts. As the senior fund accountant you will be actively reviewing the work of the less senior members. Some of the other key deliverables of the role include:
· Producing accounts with understanding of IFRS and relevant GAAP to fund/company.
· Monitor bookkeeping process.
· Understand the funds documentation alongside FCA regulations.
· Training and Development of staff.
· Take a lead role with planning of annual audits.
The role allows candidate a large amount of exposure to the business and its day-to-day development so in particular requires qualified accountants who have prior experience within private equity fund administration.
Asset Management, Hedge Fund Accountant
A major asset management business with a range of clients and an ethic to base product development on their clients objectives are looking to recruit a hedge fund accountant. With the chance to manage and develop on the firms hedge fund range as you first join, the role holder will later develop to cover other fund ranges.
With individual responsibilities allowing you to identify process improvements and optimise efficiency, other key deliverables of the role include:
· Manage the outsourced provider in providing fund accounting.
· Review daily PL of the funds
· Review monthly NAV's, produced by outsourced provider.
The role requires qualified fund accountants with experience within asset management, who are passionate about hedge fund accounting and have the desire to develop their skill set whilst leaving a strong imprint on their CV.
