Fund Performance Manager

Our client, a leading investment management house, is seeking a Fund Performance Manager to work within their team. The Fund Performance Manager will take a leading role in the measurement of the investment performance of portfolios managed and the provision of related analysis and information. The product range includes equity, fixed income and multi-asset portfolios.

Responsibilities of the Fund Performance Manager:

- Production of fund performance returns and ex post risk measures, using both unit prices and time-weighted return methodologies.

- Performance attribution analysis and interpretation, and peer group information.

- Overseeing a database from which performance data can be easily accessed, e.g. for fund factsheets, client reports, marketing, consultant databases and GIPS composite reports

- Contributing to the Portfolio Oversight process and maintaining a constructive dialogue with portfolio managers about portfolio performance.

- Ensuring the accuracy of the data and reports

- A thorough understanding of the underlying structure (source of data, calculation basis, timing of update etc.) of all reports produced, and the ability to explain this to users of the reports

Background of the Fund Performance Manager:

- Experience working directly within investment management or asset servicing essential

- Extensive experience working directly within fund performance, fund benchmarking, attribution or index analysis essential

- Experience using performance related systems such as Morningstar, Factset and Lipper

- Excellent analytical skills

- Excellent communication skills

This is a permanent position for a Fund Performance Manager paying an excellent salary plus bonus and benefits.
