Business Unit Overview:

BlackRock’s Fundamental Equity Dealing Team consists of 46 dealers globally, in 5 locations. The London team consists of 15 dealers who provide exceptional equity execution services to the 8 Fundamental Equity fund management teams based in the UK. The Fundamental Equity Dealing Team is a part of BlackRock’s Global Trading Platform which consists of 167 traders of multiple disciplines, in multiple asset classes, in multiple locations.

Job Purpose/Background:

The successful candidate would be required to provide top quality execution services to the European and Emerging Markets teams. This would include sourcing, filtering and disseminating news from the market and using that news to provide exceptional equity execution.

 Knowledge/Experience:

The successful candidate will ideally have a minimum of 3 years European equity execution experience and will preferably have some Emerging Market equity execution experience. They should be competent users of Bloomberg and / or Reuters and IT literate.

Skills/Qualifications:

The successful candidate should have the IMC or legacy exam such as Registered Representative or equivalent

The job-holder will be able to demonstrate their ability to communicate lucidly and effectively both with fund managers and with colleagues on the dealing team. They need to be able to work both independently and as part of a team with minimal supervision to produce quality results. The job-holder will have a positive attitude, willingness to learn both on and off the job, enthusiasm and eagerness to develop their own career. They will exhibit an awareness of the market and of investment products and demonstrate the ability to interpret market information to produce superior results.
