Job Title: Funding Assistant
Location: Southampton
Salary: £12,500

My client is looking for a  Funding Assistant  to Join their financial sales team based in Southampton. Your objective will be to generate key pieces of information about the businesses on their database.

The Funding Assistant is responsible for the initial contact with the potential prospects. The position is target based. The candidate must be able to conduct themselves politely and professionally on the telephone. They will have the ability to work well on their own, be self-motivated and tenacious and to demonstrate a willingness to learn and develop.

· Lead generation using their CRM tool (Saleslogix) to pro-actively market for new prospects and identify and develop new brokerage opportunities
· Progress calls into leads for the Funding Consultants and ultimately deals for our funding partners
· Manage workloads and prioritise work to meet business targets, personal and team Key Performance Indicators
· Maintain detailed and timely records and ensure best practice/highest of standards at all times
· Perform against targets individually whilst contributing to the overall productivity of the team
· Build rapport with the prospects and ascertain important information to assist with our marketing campaigns
· Send out targeted marketing campaigns through the use of our CRM tool
· Maintain the highest level of quality and professionalism whist dealing with prospective clients
· Liaise with all contacts, including all divisions within the Group in a professional, effective and courteous manner
· Continue improvement of departmental processes to ensure that customers are processed as smoothly as possible
· Identify trends and suggest improvements to team processes and strategy

Person Specification:
- Education
- The candidate should be educated to A Level or above.

Experience
- The candidate should possess a good telephone manner. Knowledge of the telesales / marketing sector is    preferable and ideally, the candidate would have some practical experience within a successful phone based  role. 

Skills

· Excellent communication skills and telephone manner
· High level of attention to detail
· Computer proficiency – Word, Excel, Outlook and Saleslogix or similar CRM System
· Able to work on own initiative and as part of a team
