This role manages fundraising data analysis to track progress against our growth aims and will support NRO's in long-term planning. You will also have a significant cross-functional role within GPI, participating in a number of strategy work groups, and manage Greenpeace's input to international fundraising benchmarking projects.

Purpose of the position
Manage Greenpeace International’s fundraising analysis in order to track progress of the global growth strategy and to identify new opportunities or challenges for particular National Regional Offices (NRO’s) or the global organization. Support the Fundraising Director Unit Head in strategy development, conducting analysis and preparing business cases as needed. Improve business intelligence systems in order to enable more accurate planning, and delivery of more ambitious fundraising programmes.

Main responsibilities
-Develop and monitor internal and external fundraising benchmarks in order to ensure the implementation of a new global fundraising benchmark KPI system.
-Oversee the monitoring of NRO fundraising performance against Growth Strategy targets through a quarterly review of results against plan. Lead a regular team review of global performance to ensure that any issues or risk areas are addressed.
-Provide analytical support in NRO fundraising reviews or organizational reviews for the Senior Management Team (SMT) and/or Board. Review Organizational Development Plant (ODP) fundraising information as part of the ODP review team.
-Provide planning and forecasting support to priority NRO’s, to improve their long-term planning. Manage the development of a standard planning model and coach fundraising teams on its use.
-Ensure that Greenpeace learns from new developments in fundraising world-wide. Manage Greenpeace participation in peer review groups such as the INGO Forum and INGO Benchmarking initiatives and establish strong relationships with counterparts in other INGO’s to share experiences and collaborate in areas of joint interest.
-Conduct strategic analysis as required and support the further development implementation of the growth strategy and broader organisational priorities e.g. the operating model or Universe projects. Actively participate in cross functional working groups as needed, providing subject matter expertise.
-Champion the improvement of data management internally, working closely with the GPI Finance team, to streamline the reporting and analysis process. Ensure Greenpeace financial and database information is coordinated to enable the implementation of strategic and global fundraising reporting, forecasting and trending systems at Greenpeace International and NROs.
-Provide guidance, skill-sharing and support to NROs on fundraising analysis, with the aim of enhancing skills world-wide and encouraging data driven decision making. Produce and introduce templates and planning tools to improve resources available to NROs and identify training and skills gaps across the Greenpeace fundraising community.
-Member of the Fundraising Investment Fund Committee, responsible for ensuring NRO applications to the fund are accurate and comply with fund guidelines.
-Effectively manage external consultants and freelancers to deliver on agreed objectives.
-Develop the GPI fundraising budget according to agreed objectives and the priorities of the team, in order to ensure cost effectiveness and strategic expenditure of allocated funds.

Skills required / qualifications:
-Bachelor degree or equivalent
-Minimum of five years proven expertise in marketing analysis performance measurement.
-Strong understanding of direct marketing / fundraising principles
-Strong external benchmarking and best practice identification experience in a financial, fundraising or marketing role.
-Strong experience in database/CRS platforms
-Good communications skills, fluency in written and spoken English
-The ability to translate data conclusions into actionable recommendations and to communicate the conclusions of complex data analysis to non-expert audiences.
-Cultural sensitivity – the ability to work effectively cross culturally and adapt communications style as needed to foster collaboration.
-A strong understanding of business and financial planning.
-A proactive, results orientated approach. Ability to work under pressure and to manage multiple priorities.
