Need: Parsons is seeking an Asset Management expert to assist with our ongoing asset management initiatives and to help Parsons market our services to transit properties around the world. Position activities include: project management and task management of asset management systems; helping establish functional and technical requirements for asset management systems to meet client requirements and expectations; and identifying how the introduction of new asset management systems and procedures may affect legacy systems. The successful candidate must possess excellent client-interfacing skills for planning meetings and telephone technical support. In addition, you may provide systems analysis and/or computer application solutions for multiple applications development functions. You must possess strong troubleshooting skills, be detail-oriented, able to manage multiple assignments and meet scheduled deadlines. After-hours and weekend support may be required. While you will be given direction from local project management leaders, you must be able to work autonomously on various assignments and be able to discern how to approach complex and difficult issues. Specific Responsibilities : Assisting client with transition from Maximo 6 to Maximo 7.5 Analyst will be responsible for the overall design, development, and delivery of a CMMS system utilizing Maximo. Architects, designs, and develops software applications and database development in SQL server environment. Consult with clients and Parsons staff to recommend and guide the development of secure software systems data integration, web portals, smart client applications, and niche applications that may be leveraged across the project. Qualifications Preferred Education/Experience: 4-year degree in Computer Science (or related curriculum) 10+ years of progressive experience developing functional solutions for asset management systems in Maximo, preferably versions 6 and 7.5 3+ years project management experience preferred Experience with Maximo Mobile and Maximo Transportation preferred Proficiency with database systems including MS SQL and Access Skills/Competencies Must possess excellent IT Project Management and Client-Facing skills. Knowledge of PMI based project management methodologies. Flexibility of work environment, ability to work independently, and comfortable with rapid change. Excellent oral communications skills and effective writing, negotiation, and consensus building skills. Strong track record of translating business requirements from a client into software requirements. Strong structured analysis design/object oriented methodology background. Knowledge and experience with a wide variety of computer, communications, and applications technologies and tools in the engineering and construction industry. A good understanding of engineering and construction leading software tools such as ERP software, Oracle Primavera P6 and Contract Manager, Autodesk and Bentley design suites, Maximo and Archibus Facilities Management software, mobile inspection solutions and EDMS tools. Ability to lead by example and mentor junior and mid-level technical team members.
