FX Control COO Analyst
Key responsibilities of the role include working in conjunction with the GFX COO Team to continually develop and enhance the supervisory and control framework of the business. Tasks will include:
- Monthly tyre-kicking exercises and input into the monthly Business Partnership Meeting
- Interaction with the central FID Controls group leveraging the centralised tasks and information produced by that group in managing FX specific actions
- Production of weekly / monthly control metrics for senior management
The role will initially be focussed on absorbing existing controls / supervisory tasks from the global COO team and streamlining of processes around the generation of tyre-kicking activity and interaction with FID Central Controls. This will quickly evolve to implement enhanced MI and KPIs around controls monitoring that will be used by senior management within FX.
Key responsibilities of the Global COO team include:
- Ensuring “best of breed” controls and supervisory framework
- Formulating trading performance analytics to understand economic value on trading desks (daily/weekly/monthly)
- Developing presentations and communications for diverse audiences including senior FO and FID management
- Involvement in key business initiatives
- Dealing with day-to-day trading-related queries
- Partnering with the broader IB COO team, FID trading management, and key support departments (e.g., IB Finance) to deliver on key initiatives and share best practices
Person Specifications:
- Very strong excel skills and strong analytical mind-set
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Ability to deliver rigorous analysis and produce high-quality, insightful content
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, support functions and key stakeholders
- Work as part of team but also independently as required
- Manage a varied workload, accurately and efficiently, and prioritise to meet challenging deadlines
- Strong educational background with degree in a financial, quantitative or equally rigorous subject
- Strong spreadsheet and PowerPoint skills
- Commercial awareness, ability to work independently and draw out key insights from large amounts of data
