FX Middle Office Analyst
Duties Responsibilities:
- T+0 Blotter Checks
- Trade management
- Lifecycle management
- Internal Trade reconciliation break resolution
- Intersytem break resolution
- Operational issue co-ordination
- Regulatory oversight
- Proactively look for ways to improve the workflow and close control gaps.
- Adhoc Project management
- Operational Risk oversight
- PnL flash and attribution
Role Description Principal Accountabilities:
The scope of a role in the FX middle office is wide ranging, on any given day there will be multiple and varying tasks to complete and tight timeframes to turnaround front office requests and client queries.
The Middle Office provides support for FX Spot/Fwds, NDFs, Vanilla Options, Exotic Options and Precious Metals trades.
The FX Middle Office works closely with the Front Office and all other support functions to enable the business to grow in a controlled environment.
With the changing regulatory landscape currently at the forefront the successful candidate will be expected to have a good understanding of regulation and how this applies to FX, they will also be expected to be the product expert when involved in projects relating to regulatory change.
The FX business gives a unique chance to see how global events affect the market and your day to day role.The range of functions and types of queries dealt with by the team are very broad, the team is central to all activity relating to the trading desks that it supports and therefore interacts regularly with a wide network of internal departments including, all other Ops teams, Finance, Technology (FO tech and BO tech), Market Risk, Risk Management Credit.. This makes the role both challenging and rewarding.
Skills Experience – Required:
- FX Product knowledge including Exotic FX Options
- Excellent communication skills
- Good time management and prioritisation skills
- Ability to work in a fast paced, high pressure environnment
- Analytical mindset
- Control focused and good understanding of Operational risks
- Attention to detail
