The Role
The FX Quality Assurance Automation Tester is an important part of Bloomberg's FX/FXET business, which is one of the fastest growing and increasingly profitable units within the company. He/she is part of a global team responsible for all testing related to the FX/FXET platform on Bloomberg.

The successful candidate should be able to drive and lead automation projects from scratch till completion.

The successful candidate will have a passion for testing, entrepreneurial and decisional thinking, excellent project management, multitasking and communication skills, listening skills, diligence and should be able to make tactful decisions or exert pressure as necessary.

He/she should be comfortable in a demanding, colleague/client-driven environment, and in managing different levels of interests and expectations. He/she should have an interest in the financial and electronic trading industry. An engineering, technical or scientific background combined with a business experience is not required but would be ideal.

Responsibilities include:
- Design, implement and drive automation projects from scratch which includes:
Identify best automation solutions, set up automation environments, designing, writing and executing automated tests.
- Testing various interrelated trading platforms in dynamic environments
- Writing and designing test plans
- You will also be involved in several business aspects of the product and your input will be valuable in order for your colleagues to assess risks
- Managing and leading various projects at different stage of completion with respect to QA
- Working closely with RD and Business to gather efficiently requirements to perform your
QA work and contributing to the overall quality of the product

Qualifications:
- Strong automation expertise that includes:
- Be able to recommend various automation solutions and identify the best
- Thorough understanding of required IT infrastructure to setup automation software at corporate level
- Designing and scripting automated tests
- Designing, scripting, executing and debugging automated tests
- Experience in testing Trading systems or Order Management or similar platforms
- General knowledge of the Forex and electronic trading industries or financial market
- Passion for testing with excellent 'product or code breaking' skills

- Be highly organized, be able to prioritize
- Excellent communication and problem solving skills, with a customer-focused attitude
- Advanced project management and teamwork skills
- Critical, tactful, strategic thinker, with an ability to make decisions accordingly

- Engineering, technical or scientific background and/or a business background
