Gas ETRM Business / Systems Analyst
My client is owned by one of the largest state owned Oil Gas Majors in the World, who have recently set up their European trading desk in London. They have been trading various commodities for 18 months now based from London and are looking to aggressively grow their Gas trading desk. As such, they seek an experienced and very credible Business / Systems Analyst to help them through a new vendor selection process for gas trading, work with the chosen ETRM vendor to implement the new system, whilst also helping support and enhance their current ECTRM system for other commodities.
This role is London based and has no travel. As such it could be very attractive for an experienced ETRM consultant working for one of the ETRM vendors or management consultancies, looking to move out of consulting moving in-house with no travel and being on client-side. Equally you could be working for another commodity trading firm / energy major or investment bank and be looking for a new challenge, possibly joining a smaller, aggressively growing (exciting) firm in a challenging and diverse role. My client are also an exceptionally cash rich firm, who although are currently a fairly small commodity trading firm in London are about to go through rapid growth, so now is a great time to be joining.
Key Skills Experience Sought:
- Significant Gas ETRM Business / Systems Analysis experience. This could be working in ETRM vendor consulting, management consulting or working for another commodity trading firm
- Knowledge of other Commodities would also be very useful (Oil, Power, Metals, Ags, Softs etc)
- Knowledge of one of the major Gas trading systems – Zai*Net / Aligne, Endur, CXL, Allegro etc
- Strong Gas trading business knowledge, possibly including starting your career as a Trader, Risk Analyst, Operations etc
- Ideally good technical knowledge about ETRM implementation and configuration would be useful
- Strong Front to Back Office experience
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Excellent business facing skills with the ability to talk credibly and knowledgeably with traders and techies alike
- Strong academics, ideally including a 2:1 or equivalent degree from a leading university
