Gas Manager – Social Housing service and Maintenance
To £38,000 plus Van
Warwickshire Based
A permanent vacancy has arisen with this family owner managed contractor. You will have prior experience of domestic gas service and or Installation within a Social Housing or Private client environment, and will now be required to have a pivotal role within the operations of the gas and electrical division.
Your responsibilities will be:
To supervise the day-to-day activities of engineers in the field. Ensure that
· Quality check and commission installations carried out by the engineer
· Engineer productivity is increased through a culture of performance management
· They are sufficiently skilled and competent to carry out their duties through identifying training needs;
· They have the correct and serviceable equipment, tools, spares and uniform;
· All equipment is calibrated when required;
· Service vehicles are maintained to a high standard;
· Ensure all HS issues are resolved or notified to the correct level and that personal accident forms are completed and HS legislation is up to date
· Monitor start finish times and correct any issues, maximising productivity.
· All customer complaints are dealt with as quickly and efficiently as possible
· A customer focused operation is maintained
· Investigate all engineer customer complaints as quickly efficiently as possible as per the Customer Complaints Procedure.
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:
ESSENTIAL
- A proven record in supervisory or management of a field installation team with excellent communication skills both written verbal.
- Computer literate
- Being able to work on your own initiative
- Full driving license (no drink-driving convictions and no more than 6 penalty points)
- Experience of coaching and assisting team members
- Ability to resolve problems
- A Customer focussed approach.
- Cost management.
ACS Qualified-CCN1 (Safety), CEN1 (Boilers), WAT1 (Warm Air), HTR1 (Fires), CKR1, DAH1
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
DESIRABLE
· Experience in report writing.
· Experience of investigating complaints
· Experience in following procedures for safe working and customer service.
· HS trained.
- At least three year’s experience of Domestic Gas Central Heating installation work
- Working along and assisting a Sales force
Suitable candidate MUST have at least four years management experience of domestic gas maintenance. Good written and verbal communication skills and the ability to resolve despites via negotiation techniques.
