Minimum Requirements: BS Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Civil Engineering or related field.Florida P.E. required.Minimum 6 years of direct experience in oil and gas and/or pipeline industry. Project/program management experience, construction and project related experience, including management of staff during the planning, design, pre-construction and construction phases.Demonstrated ability to manage pipeline projects that involve environmental, design and project/construction management aspects and ability to show success in project and client management experience.Must have excellent organization skills. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.Must be proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, and related engineering programs.Must have knowledge of one of the following project management skills, cost control, scheduling, quality control (field experience), procurement assistance, ability to conduct coordination meetings, maintain proper documentation and ensure contract compliance.Must pass URS Project Management Certification program within 6 months of hire.Must have a valid driver's license.

The incumbent can look forward to projects including design and project management pipeline and related project expansions in the southeast including natural gas pipelines, LNG facilities, refined product pipelines, and bulk terminals.The Gas Pipeline Designer will be responsible for pipeline design projects and will be the single point of contact for this discipline between the clients and URS. The engineer will develop a team that will harmoniously interact with the client and each other on a daily basis. He/She will manage projects for clients and be their representative. He/She will be using his full program/project management experience on a daily basis to push the project along in a controlled but expeditious manner.The scope of this position involves managing multiple projects through planning, engineering design and construction. He/she will be assisting the client and making recommendations to the client and could be making independent decisions daily that impact the cost and schedule of the each project and the program in general.
