General Ledger Analyst
My client a leading fashion retail brand are currently seeking to recruit a Part Qualified General Ledger Analyst for their busy finance team.
The General Ledger Analyst position is working within the management accounts team delivering accurate and timely month end reports, processing month end journals and monitoring and reporting on cash flow.
Please see a breakdown of the role responsibilities below:
Area 1: Cashflow
· Preparation of weekly cashflow reports
· Building the budget cashflow
· Preparation of cashflow forecasts
· Completion of monthly cashflow reporting for board pack
Area 2: Month End
· Calculate and process month end journals for payroll and other accruals and
prepayments
· Balance sheet reconciliations including payroll and inter-company
· Investigation/analysis of any costs/variances
Area 3: Reporting
· Assist in the creation of the monthly reporting pack
· Run month end reporting suite, ensuring accuracy and deadlines are met
· Any ad hoc reporting requirements
Area 4: Treasury
· Support areas of treasury
Other
· Ad hoc preparation of audit schedules
Skills
· Part qualified CIMA/ACCA/ACA
· Excellent excel skills
· Good communication skills
· Graduate
· Sound accounting skills/knowledge
Experience
· Experience of successfully working with SAP
· Experience of month end processes
· Ability to work to tight deadlines/schedules
· Retail experience
