General Ledger Controller

A well-known traditional London based media company are looking to add a General Ledger Controller to their thriving team. The role offers excellent benefits including a very generous holiday allowance, store discounts and a competitive salary.

The role will see the successful candidate effectively managing the ledger process for the company including: transactional processing, reviewing processes relating to accounts payable / receivable and managing one member of staff 

Day-to-day duties:
* Manage the ledger
* Transactional processing of General, Sales and Purchase Ledgers
* Reconciliations
* Process improvements
* Support the Finance Manager
* Communicate with clients and suppliers in relation to queries
* Effectively manage one member of staff

Skills required:
* Experience in the media industry is desirable but not essential
* Supervisory experience
* Strong negotiation and influential skills
* Strong relationship builder
* AAT / ICB Qualified or Qualified By Experience
* Sage experience is desirable but not essential
