Dana Corporation is seeking to fill the position of General Machinist in Glasgow, KY

Responsibilities:

• Perform duties to make complicated machine set-ups that perform various CNC skilled adjustments
• Perform the following tasks as needed on a variety of forging parts: turning, boring, facing, chamfering, forming, undercutting, hob shaving
• Perform basic shop math, reading blueprints and parts layout
• Use gauges to make adjustments, changes, and set-ups
• Must be physically capable of handling heavy parts, fixtures, tools varying in size/weights from 15 to 100lbs with the use of a hoist/lifting device.
• Must be physically capable of withstanding considerable amount of lifting, bending, stooping, and handling of material at times
• Complete production schedule requirements at assigned work station in standing position for long periods of time
• Work from verbal and written instructions, parts lists, and other forms to select parts, verify part numbers and perform operations in proper sequence.
• Train others as needed
• Use hoists or other manual aids, including fork lifts, to lift, move, and transport parts
• Stock own work area
• Use gauges, various hand tools, and electric/air driven equipment to perform tasks
• Perform visual inspections of parts adhering to Quality standards and Engineering specifications
• Detect and report any defective parts or materials, equipment malfunctions or difficulties to proper supervision.
• Maintain a clean work area and equipment
• Observe and adhere to safety rules and regulations
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• High School Diploma/GED
• 1 to 3 years preferred automotive manufacturing experience
