Our client, a major Caribbean based financial conglomerate, is actively recruiting for a General Manager/ Managing Director with a proven track record in Health Insurance and Pensions for its Cayman Islands operations. The responsibilities include directing and managing the daily operations of its Life Health insurance and Pension company including, operations, human resources, and the business development functions. The General Manager/ Managing Director will also manage a team of business development managers, develop sales channels, and oversee campaigns to motivate the sales force.

In addition to leading the business development functions, the General Manager/ Managing Director will operate as the primary resource for the improvement of systems, procedures, customer service, and training. Furthermore, the incumbent will identify and analyze new and emerging trends in the market place and identify opportunities for new products or enhancements to existing products. The incumbent will essentially be the company's principal representative liaising with local regulators and business partners.

Qualifications:

The successful General Manager/ Managing Director will bring 10 or more years of experience in the Life Health Insurance /or Pension industry. A Bachelors Degree in Business Management or equivalent is highly desirable. Financial designations such as CFA, CIM, CFP, CA, or MBA will be a definite asset. Candidates with insurance designations such as FLMI, CLU, and CLF will be looked at favorably.

The incumbent will come with proven industry management experience in an administrative or operations role. A housing and relocation allowance will also be available. In addition, a work visa will be provided to the successful candidate.
