It's easy to think "a smaller operation is not for me". But can a change from a larger operation to a smaller one benefit you?
An opportunity to utilise all your skills with a holistic approach to your work. Initially commencing as a Senior you will mentor 4 Mine Geo’s and Grads. As the team grows so will your responsibilities including involvement in the resource modelling and estimation side of things.
A smaller company means wider exposure so you won’t be pigeonholed just into grade control and overseeing pit mapping and ore block outs. Exposure to all the facets of Geology will ensure solid experience contributing to future Chief/Management positions as they double exploration budget and start the underground.
Chance to get involved at early stages of production means having input on procedures and company direction. Mid sized producer- less overheads means less financial pressure at your level.
This producer also has excellent camp facilities including en-suited rooms, gym, rec. room, courts and a social club.
Proven experience in open pit mining, with a focus on leadership and mine development will be highly regarded. B.Sc Geology required and open to Australia/New Zealand citizens only.
