German Speaking Credit Analyst

. The fund has 4 funds investing in Long Short Credit, Special Situations, CLO and Mezzanine Strategies. The fund has offices in London and New York with an AUM of 9 Billion across both offices. The role will see you report to the High Yield Portfolio Manager who has over 15 years experience in both New York and London across US And European Bonds.

You will be responsible for monitoring of existing credits and analysing potential investments across the capital structure. You’ll also have responsibility for originating new investment ideas, leading all parts of the transaction process including due diligence, negotiations on terms and credit documentation, and the preparation and presentation of investment papers to the investment committee.

They have a 'Credit-led' investment approach with flexibility to invest in both primary and secondary markets depending on the market opportunity. They have had an increased focus on 'direct lending' to the middle market therefore broadening the candidates deal origination responsibilities to include building relationships with key market participants such as company management, equity sponsors, underwriting banks, advisers, lawyers and other credit fund.

Key Responsibilities

· Responsible for analysing primary and secondary investment opportunities in the leveraged loan, mezzanine and high yield markets including taking control positions in capital structure
· Prepared detailed investment memoranda, extensive due diligence and financial modelling
· Developed close working relationships with portfolio management teams, sell side investment banks, syndicate lenders and private equity owners to foster open flow of information
· Strong technical skills in analyzing and modelling of the underlying companies, with good knowledge of the debt financing market
· Exposure to a number of distressed situations such as debt restructuring and covenant resetting
- Source, analyze, diligence and manage execution of selected distressed investment opportunities

The ideal candidate will have transaction experience in High Yield Debt in a tier one Investment Bank with around 2-4 years experience or at Analyst to Associate level. The role will see you use your LBO modelling skills to execute high level transactions across the capital structure. The team is currently made up of 3 investment analysts who have all come from top Leverage Finance or Financial sponsors teams and have developed and refined their skills in modelling and analysis to become some of the most valued analysts in the fund.
