German Speaking Marketing Executive recruitment

 Role 

To support the planning, development and delivery of regional corporate marketing initiatives -typically activities that span multiple businesses and/or support marketing objectives within a specific geography.  This includes executing company-wide marketing efforts and policies in EMEA and ensuring effective co-ordination between regional marketing teams in each business and the global corporate marketing team.

Responsibilities

• Support the efforts of Corporate Marketing and the regional business heads in ensuring the Company is consistently presented across the region in line with brand guidelines, regional business strategy and local cultural context.

• Develop, implement and deliver on regional and country-specific marketing plans and co-ordinate client segment targeted activities as required, working with multiple business lines and vendors as appropriate and with a particular focus on growth geographies.

• Work collaboratively with teams in offices across the region that do not have direct marketing resource to provide marketing support to activities that meet corporate and global client management marketing objectives, working with legal, compliance and marketing colleagues across the organisation as required.

• Identify and deliver on media, sponsorship and event opportunities to supplement the marketing activities of each of the businesses, deepening client relationships and enhancing the Company's reputation as a thought leader.

• Support the delivery of global corporate marketing initiatives in EMEA, including market research, collateral, web development, marketing communication campaigns, sponsorships, advertising, thought leadership and other projects, as required.

• Plan and implement client events, including receptions, dinners, seminars and at certain industry and conferences.  Responsibilities include invite/e-vite  production, managing invite and attendance lists, communicating event updates to business stakeholders, organizing catering, A-V and other event logistics, and managing the event on the day

• Assist in the development and production of campaigns and corporate marketing materials, including writing, proof-reading (in both German and English), co-ordinating the translation into multiple languages as required, in addition to securing the required business and legal approvals.

• Maintain key metrics on EMEA corporate marketing activities and evaluate the success of key projects.

• Track expenditure and monitor project timelines.

• Ensure the EMEA content of the corporate marketing intranet pages are regularly updated.

• Comply with all corporate policies and procedures within the department.

• Alert management immediately of any significant changes to business risks and internal controls effectiveness

• Notify management and/or Compliance immediately of any regulatory breach.

• Comply with health and safety policies and procedures operating within the business.

• It will be essential to develop good working relationships with the marketing and events managers globally across each of the businesses and within corporate marketing, in addition to key members of senior management and with business heads, country executives and relationship managers based at offices throughout the region, but especially in Germany.

Person specification 

• Experience in a marketing role, prior experience within financial services/B2B marketing is advantageous, but not a pre-requisite

• Graduate with BA (Hons) or equivalent

• Bi-lingual English-German

• Microsoft Office Suite, Lotus Notes essential, knowledge of InDesign useful but not essential.

• Track record of managing successful events is essential, experience in managing sponsorships would be advantageous but not essential.

• Strong written communication and proofreading skills, in both English and German.
