Global Account Manager – Hedge Funds recruitment

Job Description

To proactively manage an agreed portfolio of Hedge Fund Managers and Other Fund Managers as assigned from time to time.
To generate substantially increased revenues and economic profit to SCB from this portfolio by:

- defending and enhancing revenues from products services currently delivered to existing clients;
- generating new revenue from existing relationships through providing creative solutions to clients needs and cross-selling SCB products and services; and,
- Identifying and introducing new clients with whom a mutually beneficial relationship can be developed.

To develop access at all appropriate buying-points throughout the client's organisation and to improve SCB's access to the client's executive management in order to enhance our market profile and support new business generation.

To develop a forward-looking assessment of client's risk and, by sharing this insight internally, to help protect SCB from loss from credit, operational or reputational risk.

To sustain and enhance SCB's reputation for professional integrity and creative, client-focused service.

Key Roles Responsibilities

To operate within the requirements of SCB policy and consistently with OCC/FI Global Strategy.

To be responsible for knowing the Client, and working with the Risk Control team to ensure all necessary Compliance risks are properly managed and accurate records diligently maintained.

To maximise the value to SCB of the resources dedicated to growing existing relationships and developing new relationships capable of generating superior returns from a wide range of products.

To develop and regularly review an Account Plan for each client/prospective client as a means to agreeing and articulating shared goals between stakeholders within the organisation (product partners, network, Credit etc.).

To achieve agreed revenue objectives, working with Business Management to ensure accurate tracking of performance.

To maintain an active and focused calling programme in conjunction with product partners, where appropriate, on clients/prospective clients to enhance SCB's profile in its chosen client segment and identify, qualify and pursue new business opportunities.

To comply with the Bank's Account Management Standards and review/maintain compliance with relevant Country Underwriting Standards, and complete call reports to agreed standards.

To control and monitor facilities for clients to ensure that risks to the Bank are properly managed in accordance with the relevant sector's Credit Policy.

To be ahead of the competition in understanding industry trends, client dynamics and changes in legislation and regulation in order to anticipate the risks to SCB through their impact on the client and to be able to deliver proactive, innovative solutions.

To manage designated subordinates as requested.

To exemplify the values of the Group in all undertakings.

Qualifications Skills

- Successful track record in senior coverage, preferably with some significant success in the hedge fund sector, where coverage includes all aspects of client management, marketing SCB's full product suite and managing a portfolio of clients
- Alternative background of career success within fund management
- Extensive fund industry knowledge, including structures, trends, and regulatory environment and market dynamics. Particular expertise in hedge funds
- Intense and all encompassing credit skills focused on the uniqueness of the sector
- Extensive client knowledge and proven client network
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Proven track record of client coverage including working with senior management, legal teams, external counsel and internal partners
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight timeframes
- Excellent team player and leader
- Appropriate educational background and professional accreditation
