Global AML Program Manager
Position Description
Work closely with AML Group senior management, AML IT management, and other areas of the Firm to provide project support for ongoing enhancements to the Firm's AML and OFAC Programs. Primary responsibilities will include:
• Establishing a dedicated Global AML program management office to increase transparency into all AML-related initiatives through standard industry program management practices
• Organizing and conducting regular meetings with key Morgan Stanley stakeholders and subject matter specialists, including project managers outside of the AML Group, to track and facilitate the effective implementation of AML-related projects globally
• Providing functional content and analysis support as required
• Ensuring projects adhere to Firm standards regarding documented requirements, user validation, and business sign-off
• Preparing regular status, issue and risk management reports for AML senior management by monitoring and tracking milestones and comply-by dates
• Acting as a central point of contact for project-related inquiries
• Creating a collaborative environment across multiple IT and business organizations within the Firm
• Working through conflicts to find appropriate and timely solutions to key issues
Additional responsibilities may be identified as the role evolves.
Skills Required
Ideal candidate will be a Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent with experience managing portfolios of large, complex projects, preferably at financial institutions. Experience implementing business and technical solutions related to BSA/AML transaction monitoring, KYC, and OFAC compliance strongly preferred. Strategic consulting experience a plus.
