Global Equity Hedge Fund
A Global multi-billion dollar Hedge Fund has opened a search to find an equity analyst to join to join their highly skilled Asian equities team. The fund pride themselves upon each being experts within their fields and are truly passionate about investments, hence the right candidate will have a strong track record within the buyside equity space to lead the fundamental analysis in the Asia-Pacific team. Both Asian equities or Global equities experience will be welcomed. They have had superb fund performance year-on-year and the Fund Managers are some of the key industry leaders.
Key Responsibilities of the Role:
- The successful candidate will conduct fundamental equity analysis of the Asia - Pac equity space and reporting directly to the Senior Portfolio Manager of the Asia-Pacific fund
- You need to be in-depth and disciplined in knowledge of the macroeconomic conditions affecting the regions as well as a thorough bottom-up knowledge fo stocks
- Your role will be to present and recommend ideas and generate alpha for the Australian portfolio and you will be sat directly with the Chief Idea Genrators who are Partners in the firm
To be considered for this role, the right candidate should be able to demonstrate the following traits clearly:
- Strong buyside experience covering the relevant markets at top buyside investment management firms
- The role is concise fundamental bottom-up stock picking with a long term bias, and so experience within long-term value investments is highly recommended.
- A a shrewd and diligent knowledge of each stock and have a clear thought process with regards to their stock-picking.
- A strong academic pedigree is commended, on top of other financial qualification such as CFA, ACCA or MBAs. This is a leadership role for the financially intellectually curious and your background must reflect this.
