Global Head of Country Risk recruitment
This leading international bank is currently looking to hire an experienced Credit Risk professional to establish a Country Risk Management team. This department will be responsible for managing the firm’s risk generated from its activities in different countries across the globe. The core focus of the successful candidate will be to ensure that the bank has a global country risk framework that allows it to effectively and consistently manage Country Risk.
Other key responsibilities will include:
- The development and roll out of a global country risk management framework.
- Credit and financial analysis of all countries and sovereign counterparties.
- Assignment of specific country risk limits.
- Provide regular updates to a broad range of stakeholders regarding factors that might influence or change the Bank’s risk appetite regarding specific countries.
- Creating a clear and consistent global risk framework.
- Training and development of staff.
In terms of experience, you will have:
- Extensive Credit Risk experience within a leading Investment Bank.
- Previous experience working within a Country Risk team would be highly preferable.
- A background in Marco Economics is essential.
- Experience of different economies and geographies.
- A solid understanding of the regulatory environment and its challenges.
- Previous management experience
