Position Description:
The Sourcing Professional will lead the complex sourcing/purchasing of Telecommunications voice and data hardware and carrier transport services for Firmwide Sourcing, reporting into the Global Head of IT Sourcing.

The candidate will both lead a team and work with sourcing managers and internal clients to gather business requirements, quantify service levels, identify deliverables and terms and conditions. Candidate shall solicit competitive bids from multiple suppliers using sourcing tools such as the quoting process, electronic tender and/or reverse auction before evaluating/scoring bids. Candidate is responsible for negotiating with suppliers on price, service levels, scope of work and terms of business to achieve value for money for the company. This position will require the incumbent to work in a multifaceted and cross-functional environment and the individual must have a firm understanding of sourcing including e-commerce, sourcing strategies and solid knowledge of system technology.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing RFI/RFP/RFQ's (including eRFx), negotiating with vendors, as well as drafting vendor contracts. The ideal candidate will be a sourcing professional with a minimum of 12 years experience in managing IT/Telco commodities spend, globally.

Primary objectives:

• Develop a cohesive, global team that partners with its clients to create strategic plans to maximize the Firm's relationships with its vendors
• Understand the needs of internal clients (i.e. IT managers) and provide effective sourcing strategies and solutions that match demand
• Manage key vendor relationships that can provide support of business demand
• Support strategic projects that leverage global vendor relationships for cost advantage and quality transactions from a shareholder perspective

Priorities:
The role holder will be expected to:

• Build effective and trusted relationships with internal clients
• Support contract negotiations, working with Legal and IT managers
• Support and enhance critical strategic objectives (e.g. help the firm meet cost reduction targets)

Key Outputs:

In order to optimize the firm's spending on IT/Telco resources, transport hardware:

• Build and maintain relationships with IT managers, advising on sourcing options and strategies
• Leading and expediting vendor selection
• Understand the nature and scope of the firm's vendor relationships
• Negotiate, manage and monitor vendor agreements that protect firm's interests
• Work on projects aimed at lowering the firm's total spend on Telecommunication network

Experience:

Twelve plus years experience of working with vendors in one, or more, of the following areas:

• IT/Telco Resources (Staffing Consulting)
• Carrier (Transport)
• Hardware (Voice and Networks)
• Managing resources and Staff Augmentation personnel
