Fitch Ratings' Global Infrastructure and Project Finance Group is seeking a Director of Transportation with at least 7-10 years of relevant work and leadership experience to cover the growth in the transportation and energy and industrials sectors in our New York, San Francisco or Chicago office.

Fitch Ratings is a global ratings agency actively engaged in research and analysis of corporate, municipal and structured finance credits. Fitch's transportation team is considered to be a leader in the airport, toll road, maritime seaport, and commuter, passenger and freight rail sectors, providing reliable credit ratings and insightful and timely research.

Fitch Ratings is seeking a senior credit analyst with 5 to transportation related expertise, with a concentration in the toll roads and transit sectors. The position has high visibility in the U.S. municipal market and the PPP space in the North and South Americas.

Fitch's transportation group Global Infrastructure and Project Finance Group is rapidly growing and, covers over 2500 public and private entities, including project finance transactions, in the Americas.

Responsibilities will primarily include:
-Leading ratings analysis and research on transportation entities, with an emphasis on toll roads / transit sector ratings within the Americas transportation group.
-Evaluating innovative credit structures and participating in criteria development
-Identifying relevant trends, assessing their credit impact and highlighting these trends in updated industry and market focused reports/presentations

-Ability to read and fully comprehend complex structures.

Qualifications:
-Master's degree in Finance, Business or Public Administration preferred. 

-7-10 years relevant work and leadership experience at a minimum.

-Proven project finance and transportation credit skills gained in a bank, a rating agency or on the buy side.

-High-quality writing and verbal communication skills.

-Strong organizational and presentation skills.
-Demonstrated ability to lead and handle multiple tasks in a fast paced environment.

-Thorough familiarity with spreadsheet-based financial models.

The position may be located in New York, Chicago or San Francisco.
