GLOBAL IT BUSINESS: FINANCIAL ANALYST

My client is a FTSE listed global IT company based in the city. They are a household name providing IT services to both business and residential customers. They invest millions on IT infrastructure each year both on new projects and maintenance. This role is critical to helping the operational managers in controlling their spend, ensuring it's accurately reported and that the business is getting value for money.
The role will take responsibility for the financial reporting for the cost base, ensuring it's delivered in a timely manner, to a high standard and including quality analysis and commentary. It will co-ordinate with the planning team to ensure that the variances are understood and will work with the operational teams to deliver analysis of key metrics and to support business decisions. This role is expected to consistently be driving improvements in the reporting and the quality of analysis available to the business.
To be considered for this role you will need to be a qualified accountant who has a strong understanding of financial reporting and the ability to produce insightful analysis for the business. As a given you will have strong excel skills and the ability to manipulate and summarise large amounts of excel data. It's essential that applicants are able to relay financial information to the business and support and challenge operational managers. This is a high functioning team and they are looking to drive improvements to processes and the quality of reporting. Applicants must be able to demonstrate an aptitude for this throughout their career.
