Job Description
Bloomberg's Enterprise group seeks a Global Manager of Sales Operations and Strategy to build and lead a world class Sales Operations organization for a fast-growing, global SaaS business. The role is responsible for the overall structure, processes, and execution for sales and the services operations, and will coordinate and drive sales forecasting, planning, and budgeting processes used within the global sales organization. The position reports into the Global Head of the Enterprise group.
Responsibilities include :
- Responsible for leading and managing all Sales Operations functions and maximizing revenue growth through the development, implementation and on-going maintenance of sales programs and initiatives for a large, global direct sales force.
- Develop key performance metrics, sales pipeline reporting tools and dashboards along with supporting process that help the sales team, finance organization and executive staff focus on key performance drivers
- Implement established strategies, tactics and process to optimize sales force productivity by reducing cycle time, improving sales conversion and maximizing revenue capture
- Work closely with the sales training team to get new salespeople productive more quickly - Enhance Account Planning process to increase client retention and up-/cross-sell revenues
- Assist in all facets of sales planning and performance management, inclusive of regular updates to quotas, headcount, and sales plan
- Help design, develop and implement a motivating incentive compensation plan and related documentation, in support of Bloomberg's compensation philosophy of paying for performance, encouraging teamwork, and focusing on the life-time value of our clients.
- Drive SFA/CRM system enhancements to maximize sales effectiveness.
Focus on continuous improvement in sales productivity by integrating
appropriate Marketing and Pre-sales processes into CRM
Own and determine the ultimate purpose and goal of the CRM tool and
establish a plan for optimal usage
- Mentor and coach regional, team leaders, and telesales management on better sales processes and planning/forecasting strategies
- Work with different levels of management to facilitate planning, report back on results and analysis and develop strategy.
Desired Skills Experience
- BA/BS in Accounting or Business required
- A minimum of 6-8 years experience in Sales Operations. Experience in SaaS companies preferred.
- Strong leadership skills with experience building and organizing global teams
- Demonstrated execution ability to define and implement effective sales processes, procedures and policies
- Keen quantitative ability to conduct detailed analysis of complex data and translate the results into actionable deliverables, messages, and presentations
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with ability to work well with colleagues at all levels and across functions with a professional attitude
