Allocate resources to align with Senior International Tax Counsel team requirements, Identify growth opportunities for team members and engage in thoughtful internal and external recruiting. "Effectively partner year round with Senior International Tax Counsel on country planning to ensure wing to wing controllership from identification through the timely completion of required US tax reporting and subsequent examination by the IRS. Guide and energize functional team located in Stamford, CT and Albany, NY. "Direct involvement in the preparation and review of US international tax reporting for GEs affiliates and investments located outside the US, including the scheduling and execution of the business tax return review meetings. "Foster an inclusive working environment based on sharing of knowledge and best practices with colleagues and across functional and business tax teams. "Partner with other functional Directors within the Federal Tax Group, contributing to the development and execution of cross-functional planning and projects, including tax process improvements. Qualifications/Requirements: "15+ years of public accounting and/or corporate experience in federal corporate and international taxation (with at least 10 years specifically focusing on US international taxation). "Experience with financial services industry preferred. "Working knowledge of US tax rules relating to international acquisitions and reorganizations and the related US international tax reporting requirements. "Strong accounting, analytical, interpersonal and communication skills. "Strong process improvement skills. "Certified Public Accountant preferred.
