The role: Global Threat Analyst Security is at the core of Google's design and development process: it is built into the DNA of our products. The same is true of our offices. You're an expert who shares our seriousness about security and our commitment to confidentiality. You'll manage the security staff who keep our Googlers safe and our world-class technologies and facilities secure. You'll collaborate with our Facilities Management team to create innovative security strategies, investigate breaches and create risk assessment plans for the future. You believe that providing effective security doesn't come at the expense of customer service - you will be our bodyguard (and our long lost pal). Responsibilities: * Develop protocols and practices to assess and mitigate threats to company assets, as well as deliver threat assessment services by collecting, evaluating and disseminating accurate and timely intelligence information to appropriate managers. * Develop strong relationships with domestic and international peers, government counterparts, as well as private sector peers worldwide. * Assess risk to Google personnel, buildings and information based on ongoing or predicted world events. * Coordinate, develop and execute a travel security reporting program to ensure the safety of employees while traveling. * Coordinate with our Global Operations Center for the proactive monitoring of potential threats to the organization. Minimum Qualifications: * BA/BS degree. In lieu of degree, 5 years of relevant experience. * 5 years experience providing analytic support to a public/private sector organization or other experience relevant to the position. Preferred Qualifications: * Experience applying analytic support to private sector or non-profit organizations. * Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time. * Active membership in relevant professional organizations. * Vendor management experience. * Experience in competitive intelligence or similar function.
