Develop your skills in a variety of areas
Join Barclays as a Governance Manager, and you'll have a great opportunity to develop both your risk governance expertise, and your people management skills. You'll develop effective operational risk governance across our UK retail bank, while at the same time managing processes that will support our entire operational risk framework. What's more, you'll gain plenty of exposure to high-level stakeholders from across the business in the process.
 
What you'll give our customers as a Governance Manager
You'll help embed all relevant risk management and regulatory requirements, including Basel and Sarbanes-Oxley. You'll also support the adoption and management of BluePrism Robotics-based automated operational risk tools and contribute effectively to a wide variety of governance forums and committees. In addition, we'll rely on you to build relationships with key stakeholders across the business and provide timely, constructive feedback and coaching to team members to help them realise their full potential.

What you'll need as a Senior Governance and Controls Manager
The success of everyone at Barclays is measured by their ability to put our customers at the centre of their day. To do that in this role, you'll need a detailed knowledge of operational risk tools and techniques and extensive experience in a quality control, compliance, operational risk or audit function. A willingness to travel throughout the UK is a must, as are outstanding relationship management and communication skills across all levels.
