Title: Grain Plant Manager (RT 49-12)
Reports to: Grain Department Manager
Location: Peoria, IL
Compensation: $40,000 – 45,000 Commensurate with Experience

Responsibilities for this role include:
- Supervise and direct full and part time elevator employees.
- Train assigned employees to meet state, federal and company regulatory and safety requirements.
- Manage grain handling including incoming, stored and outgoing grain while maintaining grain quality.
- Blend grains according to established standards
- Establish grain pricing with service charge levels on all grains including sample and inspection grain for all incoming and outgoing shipments
- Responsibility for publication of storage and drying rates and basic contracts as well as the determination of daily bids and their selection while monitoring competitive bids
- Team member responsibility for developing and implementing grain origination marketing plans, budgeting and planning
- Responsible for compliance with OSHA, state and federal safety regulations
- Manage and maintain the professional appearance of all equipment and rolling stock and all facilities and the managing of all related duties as assigned
- Increase sales volume while providing professional customer quality service
- Maintain working knowledge of industry trends, competitive practices and regulatory compliance issues
Requirements for the position:
- Strong farming background and education - BS in Agriculture or related.
- Responsible for elevator operations including grain handling, safety and maintenance, rolling stock, customer service and providing leadership for grain merchandising.
- Utilize professional communication, interpersonal persuasion and presentation skills along with proven computer skills and competence
- Ability to work independently as well as demonstrate team building skills
- Knowledge of supervisory responsibility including hiring orientation, coaching and counseling relating to performance evaluations.
- Skill sets relating to training and development and assignment of tasks
- Analytical ability in futures and marketing as well as logistics while improving overall quality
- Must be able to pass Series 3 and 30 Certification
- Background in Corn Beans
