Grant Coordinator Job in Naples 34112, Florida US
The Collier County Sheriff's Office is looking positive, proactive, energetic, enthusiastic individuals that support our core principle of community, safety, service to fill the position of GRANT COORDINATOR.
Responsibilities include:
- The processing of all agency grants, including research, initial
application, budgeting, all interim reporting, and closeout reporting
- Coordinate and facilitate pre and post grant award meetings
- Communicate regularly with all grantors; and work with independent auditors for interim and year end audits.
- Must be able to type 30 correct wpm. Starting salary $50,907 annually.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- Two (2) years experience in a grant management field of a large organization, preferred.
- Previous supervisory experience.
- Knowledge of and ability to research and identify grant opportunities, prepare proposals and monitor awarded grants for compliance
- Content, application, and compliance requirements of pertinent legislation relative to the establishment, obligations, limitations, and operational responsibilities of the agency
- Local, state, and federal statutes, and rules and regulations that pertain to area of responsibility
Skills in:
- Communicating, both verbally and in writing.
- Use of a computer (hardware and software elements, including spreadsheets) at a standard necessary to perform the essential job functions.
- Research and training methods.
- Attention to detail, strict adherences to deadlines, and ability to work independently.
- Accounting including budgeting, accounts receivable, accounts payable, cash flow/management, payroll, general ledger, and account reconciliations.
EXAMPLES OF DUTIES:
- Facilitate complete processing of all agency grants including research, initial application, budgeting, all interim reporting, and closeout reporting.
- Coordinate and facilitate pre and post grant award meetings. Work directly with all project managers.
- Communicate regularly with all grantors.
- Work with independent auditors for interim and year end audits. Work with state and federal auditors for all scheduled, grant-specific audits.
