Group Accountant
Pioneering and well known name in the world of Alternative Funds Management seeks a recently qualified Accountant, likely from a Top 10 Accounting firm, for a newly created role in their group reporting team. This firm is a well known and first class outfit able to offer exceptional long term progression. The calibre of individuals in finance is second to none with a reputation built on being top of their game. Their core focus remains in private equity, debt fund management and a range of similar investment strategies with scope to offer a truly varied career.
Responsibilities will include:
* Assisting with monthly Board reporting, including inputs from the financial controls, business line finance, investor relations and strategy teams
* Supporting the production of the Audit Compliance Committee papers
* Producing the bi-annual Group dividend papers
* Supporting the quarterly valuation process from a group perspective
* Supporting the annual budget, Group cost reporting and other financial planning processes
* Involvement in ad hoc projects across the wider Finance team, including technical support on regulatory and statutory reporting
Your background:
* ACA or CA qualified (or equivalent) and likely from a Large Accounting firm or from a similar role at another private equity firm or asset manager.
* Exceptional analytical skills and the ability to write insightful and value adding commentary
* Driven, motivated and career minded. Looking to move on from this role internally within 2 years.
* First class communication skills and adept at building up productive working relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
