Group Change Project Accountant

Full Job Description

The role of Programme Accountant is one of a team reporting to the Group Change Director, working closely with the Head of Programme, Change Directors, Project Managers and Divisional Finance Directors. The individual will be responsible for delivering financial oversight of the Group Change Programme, including benefit tracking, and providing challenge within the process.

This role requires an ambitious, dynamic accountant, with experience of working in a programme environment and building detailed cost benefit analysis and tracking.
- Work with divisional finance teams supporting the preparation of project cost benefit analyses in consistent and appropriate formats
- Manage the planning and re-forecasting processes for programme benefits and costs
- Manage the set up of a framework with supporting resources and processes for the tracking of programme benefits and costs
- Collate and validate benefits and costs from the divisional finance teams on a monthly basis
- Produce monthly reporting detailing benefit and cost tracking status against plans with supporting commentary on variances
- Support the Group Change Director and Change Programme Sponsor on other financial aspects of the Change Programme as required
- Provide analysis and insight on the Programme financial position
- Support challenge processes to ensure that benefits are achieved and implementation costs achieved
