Group Compliance recruitment
Reporting to the respective Compliance Division Heads and working in partnership with relevant business stakeholders, you will develop and implement appropriate compliance policies and procedures vis-à-vis regulations, international best practices and ethical standards within their technological and operational environments.
You will be part of a team of compliance professionals providing value-added advice and services supporting various businesses within the Bank. On an ongoing basis, you will also conduct compliance reviews and testing using a risk-based approach to strengthen the Bank’s compliance culture as well as deliver committed key sector-focused initiatives.
Requirements:
- Recognized Degree in Accounting, Law, Business, Finance, Applied Finance and Computer Science or equivalent with at least 5 years’ working experience in the banking industry
- Prior experience in banking compliance, legal advisory, operational risk management within business units or internal/external audit; and a good understanding of business operations, controls and/or risk management
- Well-versed with the Banking Act and its related notices/subsidiary legislations; additional knowledge in one or more of the following legislations - Financial Advisers Act, Insurance Act, Securities Futures Act will be an added advantage
- Meticulous and pro-active with ability to think creatively and work independently; as well as strong analytical, and excellent verbal and report-writing skills to effectively interact with colleagues and external parties at all levels
- Good team player and proficient in Microsoft Office applications
