Group Financial Analyst

My client is a FTSE 250 engineering and construction consultancy with a group function in central London. They have consulted and led the build on some of the UK's highest profile infrastructure programmes and have a strong pipeline of growth which will facilitate a significant growth plan over the next five years.

This client is looking to appoint a group financial analyst to work in their group finance function in central London. This is due to an internal promotion and whilst the initial duration of this role if four months the role could become a permanent appointment.

This role takes responsibility for the more commercial aspects of group finance. It will involve providing a holistic view of the groups financial and operational performance across all its divisions. This will be through analysis of the operating units and then reporting to the group board on the results providing insightful commentary to support the figures.

This is a high profile opportunity within the business and as such they are looking to appoint a high calibre, talented individual into the role. This person will be a qualified accountant with experience of group reporting and financial analysis within a large group, ideally within engineering or construction or similar. This individual will have exceptional analytical skills both in the ability to interrogate and manipulate data, understand the commercial issues and report in a concise and effective manner. The reporting skills will be both in a written format and verbal as this person will often be asked to attend meetings with the board to provide additional explanation of results, and will be a point of contact for the board and executive team on a daily basis.  As such applicants must be professionally presented, articulate and used to dealing with senior executives.

If you would like to be considered for this role please email your CV to me asap as they are looking to appoint this role immediately.
