Group Financial Controller

My client is a FTSE listed pharmaceutical business looking for a Group Financial Controller to join the company in a period of changes within the business. These changes are creating a high degree of change to systems, processes and ways of working which requires careful management and navigation.

As Group Financial Controller, you will be responsible for excellence in all aspects of the finance function. This will include driving commercial awareness in the business, delivering accurate, efficient high quality statutory and regulatory reporting, such as Month end processing, full PL, balance sheet and consolidation of results, and the implement of regular balance sheet reviews to ensure review of key balances and trends
They will need people who are comfortable working in a change environment, or who have been highly involved in a divestment process.

The successful candidate must be able to operate with the high degree of complexity, change and volatility in this very fast moving environment, must assess the ERP requirements of the business and, working with IT, identify a recommended solution from a short-list. Implementation of the new ERP solution will become a critical project within this role.

My client is looking for an ideally chartered, strong technical accountant with a proven track record of added value and financial acumen from an FMCG background. You must have had experience in leading a complex financial control agenda, and is imperative that you have had experience of ERP implementation. Demonstrable experience of prioritisation and decision making, ideally during a period of significant business change is also necessary.

This role initially will be a 5 month assignment paying up to £700/day.
