Group Forecasting Analyst Job - Cardiff - 12 month Fixed Term Contract
Working in a prestigious award winning financial services organisation based in the heart of Cardiff this Analyst Job will fit within the strategic planning and analysis team. Reporting to the Senior Corporate Strategy Manager and working in a team of 3 the main purpose of this role will be to complete the groups annual and 5 year term budgets and forecasts.
The main responsibilities of the Analyst job will include:
Production of the 5 year plan
Financial interpretation of the group strategy
Production of quarterly forecasts and assisting in Budget production
Interest modelling
Balance sheet and Profit and Loss modelling
Monthly margin variance analysis
Weekly cash-flow presentations
This position is initially a maternity cover but the Job will involve opportunities in other departments within the organisation. This is a great opportunity for a candidate to get exposure to several teams within one organisation and gain experience with different roles.
The ideal candidate for the Analyst job will be:
Qualified Accountant - (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or Equivalent)
Experience working to tight deadlines and to a high standard
Strong communication skills and the ability to influence at a senior level
Strong commercial awareness
Strong Excel skills
Candidates will ideally be from a financial or professional services background, although strong analytical candidates will be considered for the job without a financial or professional industry background.
