Group Head of Global Markets and Investment Operations
Our client is a leading Bank in the Middle East, looking for a Group Head of Global Markets and Investment operations. They are one of the few banks Globally that are looking to significantly grow their Operations across FX/MM/Cash/Dervatives/Cap Mkts/Syndication and Investment Operations.
You will be responsible for Providing leadership and direction across activities of Global Market Operations, Data Management and FCIS in accordance with the Bank’s goals to obtain optimum efficiency, economy of operation, with functional global responsibility for Fixed Income, Derivatives and Capital Markets, Systems and Development, Control, Cash Management and investigations, Syndicated Loans, Custody, Fund Registrar, Fund Accounting, Fund administration, IPO, OTC and dividend payments, WBG NBFI, Client services and Data Management on a group wider perspective ensuring to provide a best in class centralized service of excellence.
You will also be responsible for leading the operations team and providing them with the required support and leadership in terms of knowledge sharing, global market expertise, delivery management and support their development and building of the global team of excellence who add value, offers a central service and constantly looks at implementing costs reducing services while continuing to add value to our customers and shareholders.
JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS EXPERIENCE
- Graduate in Accounting. Professional qualification preferred or MBA.
- Deep knowledge in applying IFRS
- Strong awareness of market and operational risk.
- Thorough understanding and extensive practical experience in the operations of Treasury, Capital Market, Custody and other International Banking products.
- Strong leadership skills significant people management skills and experience
- Extensive experience in managing senior stakeholders
- Extensive experience in managing large budgets
- At least 15 years of bank operations management experience
- At least 10 years International banking experience
- Detailed experience in Banking technology development and implementation
- Extensive experience in delivering large global projects
- Experience of managing remote teams
