Group Head of Risk and Compliance, Human Resources recruitment
We currently have an exceptional opportunity available for a senior operational risk management professional to take on a global role within our human resources function. Responsibilities will include:
- The definition and management of the People Risk Management Framework for the HSBC Group
- Leadership of the implementation of the Operational Risk Management Framework within the Global HR Function.
- Identification, assessment, management and reporting of People risks globally and risk management in HR achieved through implementation of high quality risk management practices
- Internal controls, performance parameters, policy via the HR FIM, management reports and training/informing the HR Function and its Business and Functions partners.
- Proactively work with the HR Heads of Global Businesses and Functions to identify, assess, mitigate and monitor People Risks arising within the Group.
- Chair the HR People Risk Management Committee as a main contributor to Group Risk Management Committees.
- Coordinate globally people and operations risk etc, related controls, performance indicators, management reports, compliance practice and awareness within HR and Global Businesses and Functions with a view to minimizing related losses, below standard audit results, regulatory divergence etc.
- Ensure that HR and People risk related policies are proactively defined, communicated and consistently adhered to.
- Proactive preparation of pre and post audit activity (by HSBC Group Audit, external auditors and government agencies) within the HR Function.
To be considered for this role you will ideally have extensive experience within operational risk and internal control, gained within a multinational, highly-matrixed organisation. You will require excellent influencing and negotiating experience as well as well honed leadership and communication skills. A background within HR would be useful but is not essential for this role. More important is the ability to stand back, think strategically and help to drive this established function to the next level.
