We are seeking an experienced Group Product Marketing Manager to join Egencia’s global marketing team. The position will focus on the North American market but will also actively contribute to the company’s global product marketing efforts.

Responsibilities include:

• Manage team of product marketing managers to execute against the team’s business objectives.
• Define product strategy for key Egencia initiatives as defined within the annual strategic planning process. Examples of this may include business intelligence, offer definition and pricing, traveler security, mobile applications, etc. Drive target market research and competitive analysis to create a differentiated offering for the corporate travel marketplace. Refine and build this product offering over time in order to achieve and maintain product leadership, and to drive additional revenue.
• Develop a high level of expertise with respect to our customers’ travel objectives, processes, and challenges. Represent the voice-of-the-customer in product and services planning.
• Develop business cases to explore new technology and business initiatives. Present business cases and make strategic recommendations to the executive team.
• Develop and maintain roadmap for product innovation. Advocate for out-of-the-box thinking to define new and differentiating ways to advance our product and service offerings.
• Identify project stakeholders, elicit project requirements and write business requirements documentation for use by development teams. Work with all involved stakeholders to ensure project requirements are understood and prioritized appropriately.
• Employ qualitative and quantitative research to understand internal and external user needs and competitive market positioning.
• Set, track, analyze and communicate the business goals for projects and ensure alignment with strategic initiatives. Develop appropriate metrics to evaluate projects post-deployment against all operational and business requirements.
• Track and prioritize product feedback to help in the prioritization of development projects.
• Identify, quantify, prioritize, and recommend opportunities according to revenue potential.
• Build effective relationships with key internal business teams.
• Identify and communicate operational requirements throughout the enterprise (i.e., Finance, Customer Support, Marketing, Supplier Partners, Training, etc.) to ensure the successful deployment of projects.
• Work with development team through product development cycle to ensure work meets the desired business objectives.
• Collaborate with the Development Teams to evaluate technical options, driving build-versus-buy analysis.
• Liaise between product development and business owners to ensure clear communication and project success.
• Work with marketing teams to impart product knowledge and participate in the development of sales presentations, collateral, and press releases.

Qualifications Requirements:

• Proven track record of defining, managing and bringing to market enterprise class web-based applications.
• Strong competency in product management and agile software development processes.
• Able to take a leadership role within the products and services team and to manage a team of product marketing managers.
• Passion for creating great customer experiences through a combination of world-class technology and services.
• Ability to creatively solve challenging business problems and persuasively lead cross-functional teams.
• Proven track record of creating frameworks to assess new business opportunities and defining specific solutions to achieve desired business results.
• Ability to effectively present business cases and achieve executive-level buy-in on new product initiatives.
• Expert competency with project management including, but not limited to, issue and risk mitigation, dependency and milestone tracking, and appropriate communication of project status.
• Exceptional communication skills; verbal, writing, and presentation.
• Experience working in a team environment and communicating with senior managers and executives.
• Experience writing business requirements documentation, including use case development.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Proven ability to cultivate strong working relationships and drive collaboration across multiple business and technical teams.
• Self-starter with demonstrated strengths managing multiple simultaneous projects and driving them to completion with limited direction.

Education Experience:

• 3+ years direct management experience in a product management organization.
• 7+ years experience in software/technical product management.
• 2+ years working directly with customers (i.e. account management, customer service, sales).
• Experience in the B2B, e-commerce and/or Internet technology space required.
• Travel industry and travel technology experience a strong plus.
• International marketing or project experience preferred.
• Bachelors/Masters degree in a technical discipline or a non-technical degree with minimum 5 years technology-centric business experience. MBA is a strong plus.
