Group Risk Manager Lloyd’s Syndicate recruitment

The Group Risk Manager’s key purpose is to drive risk updates, be an alternate  point of contact for stakeholders, be capable of supporting risk function objectives amd act as an advocate for commercially focussed risk management.

Te Group Risk Managers principal duties responsibilities:

• Assist in capturing risk events

• Work with business units to establish, maintain and continuously review the risk profile and associated risk management activities

• Assist the Head of Risk Management, Board and the Executive Committee to develop and communicate risk management policies, risk appetite and risk limits

• Implement appropriate risk reporting to the Head of Risk

• Ensure effective cooperation between the Risk Management function and other governance functions such as Internal Audit, Delegated Authorities, Compliance and Financial control

• Assist the Head of Risk Management in regulatory supervisory liaison, and external risk reporting to stakeholders /corporate governance

• Interact with the IT/MI and PMO functions to co-ordinate Risk Management driven activities

• Keep the stress and scenario testing policy current and conduct regular updates to tests

• Validate the ORSA process and sense check that the conclusions drawn are not unreasonable

Personal Specification:

We are looking for a pro-active individual who wants to engage with the business and is results orientated. There knowledge and experience will include a broad risk experience, preferably with decision making responsibility. Specific risk management framework design experience would be useful as would a working knowledge of Credit, Market and Liquidity risk.
