Group Sanctions Manager - London - Permanent

My client, a global banking group, is seeking a Sanctions Manager to join their team in London. The successful candidate will be responsible for day-to-day management of Group Economic Sanctions and AML matters. You will be involved in providing advice, guidance and making recommendations regarding Group Sanctions Policy and will be expected to face-off to s enior stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

•  Manage day to day Group sanctions and AML matters related to Lists and Notices, Breaches, Exceptions, Dispensations Waivers, and Ad-Hoc Projects.

•  Ensure that stakeholders across the Group are actively engaged in resolving issues.

•  Interpret and develop an understanding of Group AML Compliance Policies.

•  Prepare relevant reports for both internal reviewers and regulatory bodies.

•  Liaise with the Head of Group AML Control regarding potential process improvements

•  Provide advice and guidance on the implementation of the Group Sanctions Policy, acting as a conduit between the Group, business units and relevant regulatory bodies.

Skills/Requirements

•  Strong desire to learn and develop a deep understanding of sanctions within an enterprising environment

•  Excellent interpersonal skills, being able to confidently and clearly communicate with people at all levels

•  Strong stakeholder management

•  Experience with sanctions, AML and anti-bribery/corruption compliance/risk management

•  Understanding of the UK and EU regulatory directives

•  Law degree/background will be looked upon favourably
