Overview
Reporting to the Team Head (GBS Loans LEMG), the incumbent is responsible for supporting multiple product credit lines and loan originations as well as being the main SME responsible for regulatory submission of loans and non-loan credit exposure in Singapore.
Responsibilities
1. Customer servicing
• Main point of contact for the business, external customers and agents in relation to deal closing and portfolio management.
• Manage, investigate and resolve queries/issues of customers and business.
• Liaise with front office, internal/external legal and offshore servicing centres on perfection of credit documentation and secondary sell-down (e.g. assignment agreements, trade confirm, participation agreements and purchase price letters etc)
• Correspond with customers on corporate actions, waivers, breaches, facility/operational matters covenant due etc.
2. Control Functions
• Oversight (including training) of functions performed offshore, and managing day to day delivery issues by Offshore Servicing Centres
• Review of KPI and error reports.
• Quality check of transactions, data capture and controls performed by Offshore Servicing Centres.
3. Doc Management
• Review of simple/complex documentation for operational and credit terms.
• Perform sample check of documentation drafted by Offshore Centres.
• Due diligence of original credit/collateral documentation.
• Safe keeping of documentation and scanning of documents in an electronic imaging system.
• Scan documents received onshore for due diligence check by offshore centres and safe custody.
• Maintaining proper records of all documents, and correspondence relating to credit facilities.
4. Regulatory Reporting
• Check/validate regulatory reports prepared by offshore service centres prior to submission.
• Manage audit request during onsite audit by internal/external auditors.
• Completing tasks assigned by his/her supervisor/s assigned from time to time.
Requirements
• Min 3 years’ experience in loan administration, credit control, processing and servicing.
• Strong loan product knowledge
• Accurate and detail-orientated with strong sense of timeliness.
• Good written/spoken communication skills in English.
• Analytical and highly organised with strong awareness of risk controls.
• Good, interpersonal and problem solving skills.
• Highly proficient in MS Excel and MS Word.
• Basic accounting knowledge relating to loans.
• Ability to learn and adapt to complex state-of-the-art loan processing system.
• Able to peruse loan documentation for loan structure and operational terms, is an advantage.
