Externally

• Suppliers: internal desk top publishing (Williams Lea) unit and/or external design agency, advertising/marketing agencies, multi-media agencies, teleconference and videoconference suppliers and printers.

• Dealer groups/platforms/research houses: marketing representatives from dealer groups and platforms regarding branding requirements and the provision of marketing collateral.

• Industry: Financial Planning Association of Australia. Media: trade publications for advertising.

Internally

• TPD and Institutional sales team members plus other Asset Management staff (eg. COO team, Portfolio Managers, Product team), Williams Lea (as above), Internet services, Legal/Compliance, Printing and stationery, IT staff.

PURPOSE OF POSITION:

• Work with the business (with particular focus on the sales teams) to help grow assets under management for the range of GSAM products available to Australian and New Zealand investors

• Development and management of campaigns (product/launches) undertaken by the business for an allocated range of products, encompassing a range of marketing and communication activities (eg. white papers, adviser and client communication, e-marketing, product documents etc.)

• To take responsibility for the protection and enhancement of the GSAM brand. Ensure the brand is leveraged across all communications, events and sponsorships undertaken by the business, and manage the provision of the logo to third parties.

• To assist with the development and proofing of all marketing materials, in particular campaign related materials, PowerPoint presentations, Product Profiles, Fact Sheets, Regular Commentaries and Offer Documents generated out of the Due Diligence committee meetings, ensuring that they are consistent and adhere to brand and style guidelines

• To ensure that all marketing driven materials are kept up to date (as appropriate eg. monthly, quarterly) and are made available for use by appropriate people in the business within the agreed time frame (eg. quarterly monthly reports, products profiles and updates)

• To take the lead on ad hoc projects as required eg. print and design SLA review project, AML requirements

• To work with the GSAM e-commerce team to ensure that the GSAM Australia website (investor and adviser sites) is up to date and that the web is being used effectively to promote the team, capabilities, performance, events, teleconferences, webcasts, white papers as appropriate

• To manage multi-media and electronic communications as appropriate for the promotion of key account activities and core products (eg. HTML emails for TPD team, events, webcasts, webtours, online demonstrations)

• To work with the Head of TPD to understand the requirements of the Key Account plans with regards to the promotion of core products

• To contribute to the weekly marketing team update email with details of materials, activities that are in development or have been completed

• Engage with the investment teams (GSAM, Wellington) to understand product range and how best to create messages for the products to help position and promote them to investors, advisers and institutional clients

• To work with the Shareholder Services team to ensure that unitholder communications are appropriately drafted, edited and distributed

• To implement processes that create efficiencies and improve work flow for the team and the business

• To report back to the business on the success of activities undertaken and what changes will be made to implement improvements for future activities and campaigns

• To keep up to date with the market environment, the GSAM business and products, and that of their competitors
