GSAM: European Marketing Strategist, Analyst recruitment

This professional will work with the team to help execute strategic marketing campaigns that drive sales leads and support asset gathering and retention efforts in the European market. Specifically, this includes supporting the creation of marketing materials, including foundational materials, research paper summaries, topical investment ideas and sales tools for internal and external use.

Strong, ongoing communication is required across the firm’s sales/marketing professionals, product team members, and other asset management groups in order to deliver materials in an accurate and timely manner.

Responsibilities:
•Help produce communication materials for use by clients across the Advisory, Discretionary, Institutional, Corporate Cash and Insurance distribution channels. These materials include fund-specific sales presentations, videos, email marketing campaigns, content for websites and other sales tools for use by advisors selling the funds. 
•Contribute to the planning and development of strategic campaigns, through multiple media channels, to establish GSAM as the asset manager of choice. Actively support business results by creatively identifying opportunities to improve the client experience and strengthen our arsenal of marketing and sales tools
•Liaise with appropriate product and regional sales teams to ensure our investment strategies and services are positioned effectively in the markets.
•Coordinate with different internal groups, of all levels, including sales/marketing, client service, management, legal/compliance, performance, creative services and e-commerce.
•Liaise with external vendors where projects (design, advertising, campaigns etc) are outsourced
•Ensure all marketing content complies with GSAM rules and local market regulations
•Measure commercial impact of marketing campaigns and collateral
•Execute independent projects to enhance department efficiency

Experience required

•Understanding of financial markets and Europe asset management marketplace.
•Fluency in an additional European language preferable
•Self motivated, flexible and driven, someone looking for a steep growth curve
•Attention to detail and accuracy
•Ability to synthesize information from multiple sources and develop a clear, compelling story
•Demonstrable track record of working effectively with several stakeholders
•Strong analytical skills and ability to compare products, markets, clients.
•Ability to work at varying speeds and under timeframe pressure, while maintaining extremely high standards
•Interest/Experience in the Asset Management business and the sales/marketing process
