Position Description Actuation System Analysis Engineer: In this control systems analysis role, you will work very closely with other control systems analysis engineers and systems experts and you will gain high visibility across the organization while representing and solving critical technical issues. You will also build a close engineering mentoring relationship with the Technical Fellowship and other senior experienced engineers as you embark on new analysis challenges. This role will allow you to accelerate and to expand your career options as a Flight Control Systems engineer as it will enable you to develop deeper and detailed understanding of control systems and airplanes while it will further broaden your system level knowledge. You will engage in stimulating and challenging assignments with focus on in-service as well as future airplane products (PD) and you will have the opportunity to gain experience and to grow your knowledge in a number of areas such as: 1) Detailed modeling and simulation of dynamic actuation systems using state-of-the-art tools such as Easy5 and Matlab/Simulink. 2) Data mining and analysis to validate actuation system models. 3) Conduct high-fidelity analysis of primary flight control systems. 4) Develop, verify and validate flight control system performance requirements. 5) Support and interact with other Flight Controls functions and actuation suppliers. 6) Architecture analysis, trade studies and development. 7) Technology and product development. Other Job related information You must have relevant experience with feedback control systems experience, modeling and simulation background including, Matlab/Simulink (Easy5 is a plus). Previous Boeing Commercial Airplanes control system analysis and design experience is highly desired but not required. Previous control systems design, development, analysis and testing is required. Prefer a Bachelor of Science degree in engineering (mechanical, aerospace, electrical or other). Master of Science or PhD is a plus.
