Head of Accounts recruitment
The key responsibilities for this role will include:
- Leading the preparation of group statutory accounts (UK GAAP/IFRS)
- Monthly balance sheet and cash-flow reporting
- Driving improvements in financial controls
- Balance sheet GL ledger reconciliation
- Propose appropriate accounting treatment for unusual items
- Ensure compliance for with statutory requirements for VAT and corporate tax
- Review corporate structure to drive efficiency
- Work closely with appointed tax advisors
Candidates should be graduates with a minimum of 10 years experience, with prior experience of leading the preparation of group statutory accounts, compliance to IFRS/UK GAAP and specific prior responsibility for a tax function within a medium-large sized business. Candidates should be ACA/ACCA qualified, ideally with prior financial services sector experience.
