Head of Asset And Liabilities Products – Retail Bank recruitment
Roles and Responsibilities:
a)Responsible for the development and design of retail banking Asset and Liability products to meet customer segmentation requirements, responsible for product profitability and to ensure the product operates as required via system and channels, need to be considering business process and functionality via each channel to ensure customer and staff experience with originating product sales is “user friendly” and cost effective.
b)Responsible for establishing product sales targets and business objectives for each product. Responsible for increasing Market share for each retail banking product.
c)Manage a team of professional product development managers to develop products and services to increase bank's retail market share/profitability in each identified product group, in close co-operation with Segment and Channel management.
d)Using ongoing market research to develop products that will attract new to bank customers and retain existing customers.
e)Formulate business plans and profitability targets based on thorough analysis of each product’s potential. Considering the impact of product pricing and channel cost for each customer segment.
f)Monitoring cross sell targets results to ensure that products are grouped to maximize potential for sales opportunities. Act as champion for each product and work with Segment and channel management to promote all retail products and ensures procedural, policy and training of Branch and Channel Staff is undertaken to ensure compliance by staff. Conducts monthly Branch and channel visits to ensure “best practice” is consistently delivered.
g)Responsible for managing and motivating product managers and officers.
h)Responsible for delivering the look and feel of the overall product collateral/presentation in accordance with segmentation requirements for each delivery channel.
i)Actively develops a 1-2 year plan for product development based upon segmentation market research and support communication of this strategy across retail and consumer bank management team.
j)Develops products profitability model for each segment and delivery channel and coordinate with head of retail finance in preparation of annual balance sheet forecasts and profit and loss estimates. Works closely with Head of Sales to establish product sales targets for all channels and segments.

Experience:
- 10 – 12 years extensive experience in Product Management.
Other Skills Required for the Job:
• Strong understanding of profitability drivers and market development across the various product life cycle stages.
• High level of analytical skills and ability to understand scientific marketing techniques including surveying and statistical analysis in marketing program development.
• Ability to manage, motivate and develop product management team and lead cross functional project teams.
• Familiarity with bank’s operations, sales and support environments and a strong customer focus.
